Does anyone have a good link or tips on how to build a Viking longboat? It's not actually for a wargaming project, it's for my son's school project but I figured that it would use the same ideas and techniques. |

Waterline? And how big? Did the school specify restrictions on materials used? I seem to remember seeing a link on TMP a couple of months ago to a very impressive tutorial for building one. Let me see if I can track it down. Dan |

There's not really any limitations. We have lot's of cardboard to use so that will probably be what we use. |

I'm still looking for the tutorial. But if card is an option, perhaps you could trace or cut from loads of images out there, like these below (some more historical than others). Dan link

If your son is serious about his school project, he could do worse than to start here: link I think if you take him to school while pulling even a small Viking longboat on your boat trailer, he'll get an "A". |
