So after much painting and planning the Battle of Lepanto got played today, only a week away from the anniversary.
114 ships in all, about 1:5 ratio to the real battle. Still doesn't look like enough ships, going for 1:3 next year. My apologizes for the white movement trays, it was a last minute addition helped alot but they should have been blue or clear. Oh well, next time.
Had 9 players and a great deal of fun.
The Spanish/Italian won again. Balancing the Western gun advantage with the Ottoman melee and manuever advantage is not easy but I think we finally got it right.
And never ever try and board a Knights of Malta galley!

Awesome- looks like fun. Still doesn't look like enough ships, going for 1:3 next year. A noble endeavor- I want to see that! Maybe I missed it before, but what rules ware you using? |

I roughly count that 188 should give me a 1:3 ratio
so that will be next years goal.
Only 74 more ships.
