It seems a fair review to me.

Oh dear, I find this review typical of modern day gamers wanting things to be sooo simple I guess some people are just not capable to figure out things for themselves and need to be hand held through which I thought to a straight forward build. And as so far about some of the historical details most wargamers really don`t know or care about them. The two types of armour one has two holes inside the body section that need to be drilled out, too much effort ,I guess for some, ha ha. With a bit of experimentation you can make individual figures for sergeants an the such to conform to the game cards. Lets have review with some one capable of sticking a few bits of plastic together eh?

HammerHead, that is not it at all. If whatever you invest in terms of time and effort in the figures does not provide a satisfactory result, regardless of whether they are metal or plastic then you will be disappointed. In this instance, according to the reviewer, that was not the case.

Codsticker I have built the main box and found little problem in making the figures. there is a modern idea that figures now should be slightly different to its base mate to add to the `look` of an army, well you can ,just turn the head slightly. And there was a comment about painting, there is a f/b group and I have seem many fine figures that many people have completed and they look very well done. there are two trains of thought here, to rely on some ones opinion or see for yourself. Warlord have taken a redundant line and made a great game from them.

Imho I think you are all saying some things that are right.

There are better figures out there…..they have no cards :). I think some of their figures work very well. The archer models for instance I think are better than the perry twins, and I got about 600 of them:) they do require a little extra work…..but when you drop them absolutely nothing happens….love that. Think the boxed sets warlord has released are quite good. You get cards and figures for around 15£ well cheap imho.

Well and the game….just think it it very very good value for money and great fun

Take a peek at two different ways to make a warband, posted before :)
