Always been impressed by the White Dwarf polystyrene tower block for Necromunda gaming. I think it first appeared in the magazine about 15 years old. link

Looks pretty easy to recreate, I wonder how fun it is to game on? |

OOOOH I remember that. Thought to have a go myself but realized I would soon be dropping figures from a great height and decided it was not for me :) Bob |

That looks cool enough that I wouldn't mind the occasional dropped mini! |

Putting lip/railing would help some |

Beveling the floors a bit might keep the minis leaning in towards the wall. |

Reminds me of Blue Harvest : "so I said couldn't we put a safety rail up?" |

I always wanted to build that but I think storing it would be an issue. |

So nifty. We should do more vertical terrain. |

Necromunda was the game that got me into gaming and this piece had a huge impact on my own terrain making. It's almost certainly made from insulation foamboard (2" on the vertical, 3/4-1" on the horizontal) – to keep weight down and to be able to carve the doors between the walls – and then detailed with gubbinz and cereal cardboard. It would be pretty easy to make so long as you had a good quality carpenter's square and T-square to keep everything level and a method to keep cuts at right angles to keep it straight. The issue would be transport and storage, considering it looks to be a solid piece about 2-3' square by 5' tall. You could build it in vertical sections that "stack" and slot together. |
