This is a pretty cool Army training video from the early 80's about the T64/T72 tanks. It covers their strengths and weaknesses as known by US forces at that time. It shows these tanks in training maneuvers and how they are used on the battlefield. Pretty cool stuff!

I remember seeing those films at one time or another back then. IIRC, even that one … yeah they were pretty cool !

I never got to see them but I was in too late. But I was with the last generation of tank crewmen to go through Ft. Knox and trained specifically to fight the Soviets. We got the pep talks and sand tables, but no movies for us!

Boy those were hard to watch, very dry. I'm sure more than a few people dozed off while watching them.

No doubt there was a standing room audience at times. My drills said that if you thought you were going to doze then you had better stand up or DROP!

Being something of a tank geek, that use to be my job you know, I was totally sucked in! I just wish the picture quality was better.

Classic stuff of the time, spent many an hour in the office watching the original Zapod stuff, lots of action and stirring music!
