Does anyone know when did the Regia Aeronautica roundel switched over from solid white background to no background? I have this idea in my head that it might be sometime in 1942 but I need confirmation. Besides, I've seen drawings of some aircraft such as the G50 with white background roundels on top of wings and no background ones underneath.
