I have written a blog entry about a re-fight of the Battle of Leipzig that took place yesterday. It featured over 2,000 54mm-scale figures.

Very nice.

Do NOT let the gardener anywhere near that site with a lawnmower.

Do NOT let the family dog out to play in the yard!

Superb!

Gosh, how are your knees and back after moving all those figures on the ground? Mine would be telling me to get another hobby in no uncertain terms.

Paul B,

I acted as photographer for the event as my arthritis and bad knees mean that I could have got down all right … but not got up afterwards.

What rule set? Home grown? Pun intended.

The rules were a variant of FUNNY LITTLE WARS by Paul Wright, which are themselves a development of H G Wells' LITTLE WARS.

I have always thought this could be done, bigger figures is better at it than my 15mm guys.

Ha! Nice work! :)

See what you've done. Now your going to have to go back and paint all those bases grass green. Maybe throw some some autumn leaf yellow.

So lovely to see big Naps games in the garden. One day…

The biggest issue I have found is sourcing the bl**dy figures – getting to be like hens' teeth. Oh well, as I say, one day…

Great game and looks like a lot of fun! But at my age, with my knees….probably have to use a crane to get up and down!LOL

This really looked cool and had to be a real blast to play.

I sincerely feel your pain. I found it helps to keep my old 'Boy Scout' hiking staff handy when out in the yard, since I past 50.

Im curious, who or how did you deal with moving the troops?
