Yes happy birthday Bilbo and many more!

My 1st really social SF gathering was a 'Bilbo's Birthday Party with the University of Texas at El Paso SF club 'Zothique'. That wound up getting me in worlds of trouble.

Hmm. I actually do have at least one picture from that party, that includes Willy Siros, founder of the club, but finding it is an issue. It's in with the one where my then 17 year old self gets a book signed by this obscure 'GRR Martin' guy.

Was he skinny then?

Not really. A little harrier, maybe. The book was 'A Song for Lya' I think, since the only other piece I had of his was was an Analog colloboration he did with Lisa Tuttle. I was a hell of a lot skinnier. (El Paso, Texas, Solarcon II, April 1976). I'm sure he would deny everything.

Oh,yeah, 76. I was working construction, AND on a drill team. I was a lot skinnier too!
