Wow, very impressive looking. So, what rules were these based for, and what's man to fig scale? Just wondering, Dean |

Thanks "Tyn Man" Figure scale is 1 figure equals 10 real men. Rules are "ACW" Rally Round the Flag" converted for Napoleonics …. allows for very big battles. Ground scale is 1 inch equals 25 yds, 1 turn equals 15 minutes. A turn is divided into 4 subsets Cheeers |

Leadjunky, They are all 6mm ADLER MINATURES. Incredible amount of detail for 6mm….the Marechal Davout figure has spectacles on…that you can see and paint! Lasalle figure has a pipe in his hand! Cheers |

I have been impressed with your work for several years. I seek to emulate it, in terms of both quantity and especially quality. Much work left to do. Thank you so much for setting the bar so high. I still have to spend half my hours a week at work, but it will not be so long from now I might have a chance at catching up. Who am I kidding? I only have 20,000 pieces :) |

Oh Yea, mine are all Adler as well. Great sculptures for a deft brush. |

Thanks Robert, and do you have any pictures of your figures or battles? If you do please post. Posting is not a contest, but more a sharing of the love of painting figures and collecting…..Not to mention …fighting battles and especially campaigns. Give it a try! Cheers from Texas |

At this figure ratio, you should consider that the Russians carried one flag behind the other, not side-by-side. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about that. |

Thanks Widowson for your input. I did that with my 6mm Adler 7YW Prussians who have 5 flags per battalion. And with 48 regiments with 2 battalions each it came out to be "490" flags. It was a lot of work, but looks great! But I didn't like the way it looked with the Napoleonic Russians, Austrians, etc. And as the "Tsar of all the Russians" I made the decision to put them side-by-side….and to me it looks much better. Also did it with the Austrians. Anyway, at best we are only modeling and building a "representation" of real units. There is always a trade off between gaming vs. realism. But if you did it with your regiments please post a picture, because I am always interested in different ways of doing things. Cheers from Texas |
