I am the trade organiser for Warfare this year in Reading on November 18th and 19th.

I would like to try a little experiment this year. For many good reasons there are a number of excellent manufacturers (mostly from overseas) who are unable to attend UK shows or have a UK distributor that can attend on their behalf. As such their customers have to rely on internet pictures to see what they think of their products.

I would like to offer a free service this year. If you have a figure range that you believe does or can sell well in the UK, but do not have a physical outlet in the UK you can send me some samples of these ranges, painted or unpainted and we will display them along with business cards so that UK gamers attending Warfare can see your products in person.

So long as you cover any postage or customs costs all will be returned to you after the show.

As I said this is an entirely free service intended to benefit you the vendor and us the UK customers who want to see your product before paying for an overseas delivery.

As a US gamer that has attended this show in the past, I can tell you Warfare is an excellent event. Well worth attending and certainly worth displaying your wares.

Good luck with the show!

Great idea and for those in America this show is one of the very best in the UK IMHO.

Thankyou for the kind words above. By far the largest show in the UK is Salute held in a major exhibition centre in London during April each year.

After that there are an increasingly smaller number of large shows. WARFARE is certainly amongst the largest and in our humble opinion best of those other shows, though i would recommend anyone to attend any of the shows in the UK large or small.

We are a 2 day show that tries to stay true to the wargaming hobby roots rather than just make money. No one owns us, all income goes to the benefit of the club and the hobby.

As such we host a very large bring and buy that is much loved but if i was honest pretty much runs at a loss, along with tournaments and demo games that agin cost us a fortune to put on.

We continue to put on all of these things because we believe in the hobby. In the same spirit I am making this offer of free display space to foreign traders who would otherwise be unable to physically show their wares in the UK.

Please contact me if you are interested.

Can I display painted stuff that I don't have room to display on our stand?

CptKremmen05 Oct 2017 2:40 a.m. PST

Hi Stuart,
Yes that should not be a problem, I have a little space left.
Just put your stuff out with some business cards etc to let people know it is for sale over on great escape games.

I am of course giving priority to people sending stuff in who can't attend, but as I currently believe there will be a little spare space available that is fine
