I recommend GW plastic industrial kits.

There are several manufacturers that make MDF terrain.

We have all the Shadow War Armageddon terrain, and still needed to add some more.

If you can find a box of SWArmageddon, though, it's totally worth the purchase. There's something like $175 USD worth of terrain alone in the box. Not counting Marine Scouts and Orks.

I am partial to Mantic Deadzone plastic terrain sets. Way cheaper than GW terrain.

I'm with SeattleGamer. Modular, Inexpensive, plenty of details and accessories, no skulls. All angles and straight lines but great for what you get.
