The type UB-II submarine is said to be in good condition, lying at a depth of 30m (100ft) off the Belgian coast.

Eleven German submarines from the World War One period have been found in Belgian waters but this vessel is reported to be the best preserved of all.

Just heard this story on radio news.

Wow. They will be able to keep it a secret for awhile, but 100 feet is within recreational scuba depth, so nothing fancy is needed to dive the wreck. There are plenty of people willing to desecrate war graves.

Sadly, about the only way to keep the vultures away is to bury the wreck under a big pile of rocks. If it was in the Pacific all that would be left is a few scrape marks on the bottom.
