During the hurricane and resulting power outages here in Geogia last week, I had plenty of time on my hands. So I threw together a quick and dirty naval campaign for our Dystopian War figs. The map campaign is from the Space 1889 Ironclads and Ether Ships book while the rules are the newer Imperial Skies. SO far 3 battles have been generated.

Thanks SO much! While not as much a fan of Dystopian Wars, even the models, I had my lunch handed to me at Recruits last month in Imperial Skies. In spite of which, I a) had a great time, b) find some of the special commands a bit less problematic. I still think it needs those restricted if you are playing with fewer ships on the smaller side, but I think Robin says it's for larger fleets. I'm curious, do you add/change anything for using surface forces? Are all your aerial forces fighters and bombers? Doug PS Pleased to hear this was a delightful lemons-to-lemonade thing, and hope the weather was merely an inconvenience, otherwise. |

Hey Doug, We went into the Imperial skies with really no changes. Kept the same stats for surface and aerial. It works fine. Really just an excuse to get those pretty Dystopian fleets out of the closet. Once we get the system inder our belts we'll probably start tweaking. |
