"The Fellowship Project" Topic

So I had the idea to paint up the characters who made up the original Fellowship of the Ring (in 28mm), and thought I'd turn to TMP for help.

I realize that I could just buy the Mithril or GW miniatures for these characters, but wanted to have a little fun and challenge my fellow TMPers. Of all the fantasy figures out there that you know of, what figure most captures your mental image of the characters who made up the Fellowship?

In other words, if I could paint up a dream team of the best miniatures from every manufacturer, who should be selected for the following characters? You can pick a licensed figure if you really like it, but of everything you've seen, which figure really captures their essence. Links (and pictures) appreciated.

I quite like the OOP Bob Olley Ranger for Boromir, he is a big 28mm mini (sadly I missed out on getting one of these).

That's a good Boromir. It would be a lot of fun to build a fellowship using Reaper figures.

This is my preferred choice for Gandalf the Grey, although I acknowledge there are some fine and close runners-up.

Thanks for the responses so far. I'm honestly surprised at the tepid number of responses. Was hoping for more.

A more descriptive title might have helped. "What figures for Fellowship" or something like the that.
