But I've known people who swore they were there, and if they told me it was raining outside, I would have to check.

Did get to go with the same friend the next year to the Atlanta International Festival, close to 500,000 folks, the triumphant homecoming of the Allman Brothers and one of Hendrix's last US shows. Made it all the way through, headed back to Ft. Worth and the car gave up the ghost. We had to hitchhike all the way back.

Missed Woodstock, but was in Chicago with Doug during the convention.

Only Woodstock I had was on my M-14

A few months ago, the former assistant to the president at the university at which I work passed away. As far as I know, he was the only person who both fought at Iwo Jima in 1945 and attended Woodstock in 1969.

Nope. My art professor went but he left because it was too muddy. If you knew him, then you would know that was the truth.

I was all of four, but an older friend had tickets. He never made it. He and his buddy, ended up spending the weekend in their car, stoned, somewhere in the middle of NY.

I was dating a girl from Woodstock! Woodstock, IL that is!! The band I was in had a gig that weekend!

I had to work. But I went to Atlantic City Pop a couple of weeks before. A lot of the same bands but no mud.
