I just purchased a neoprene "mouse pad" gaming mat for space gaming and I need a means to carry it (besides the box). I noticed that a lot of mat manufacturers sell nylon carrying bags with their product. Can I purchase these bags by themselves, and if so, where can I order them?

Here's one for 3x3 sized mats or less:

I know I've seen bigger carrying cases sold separately.

Found some, if you don't mind purchasing from over seas:

Or get a plastic pipe as long as the width of your mat +2" (51mm) and 2 or 3 inches in diameter. Roll it on the pipe, use rubber bands on both ends and carry it around. Roll it so the bottom is outside.

Following on from Dragon6's idea you could get a length of drain pipe around 4"(100mm) diameter and 2 end caps, one fixed glue on and one screw on cap and put your mat inside. You can even fit them with carrying straps.

Or you can go to a fishing store and get a fishing rod carrying cylinder which is basically the same thing but comes assembled with end caps and straps, they just cost more than DIY.

Take a Google for 'Yoga Mat Carrier / Tote'. (Amazon has 20 pages of 'em)

Many different styles (ranging from utilitarian to ostentatious)
and an accompanying rainbow of price points.
