Just started watching the Legende van de Bokkerijders series on YouTube. I would have happily bought the DVD, except that they declined to include any subtitles.

Even French would have helped. I think I've discovered why not so many folks outside of the Netherlands have heard of the bokkenrijders…

It's in Dutch, but the plot is pretty easy to follow and visually stunning. Very inspiring for gaming ^,^

Took a peak at the video. I wish I understood Dutch! Looks like a great series.

I've found it entertaining and worth watching even without understanding Dutch — the acting and staging conveys pretty well what's going on. I'll definitely keep watching through to the end.

Who or what are Bokkerijders ?

Goat Riders in the Sky! Old Dutch folklore, and actual 18C brigands who adopted the identity; and when caught, were tried and prosecuted for making pacts with the devil. Generally after confessing under extreme torture.

Quite well known in the Netherlands. But very little published in other languages, so most everybody else hasn't heard of them.
