I went to the Philadelphia museum of art yesterday and there they have the renaissance armor of Duke Ulrich of Wurttenberg (1487-1550). It includes both his armor and the armor of his horse.

The museum has also released a very nice book about this armor for only US$ 12 which discusses the design, function, decoration and manufacture of the armor. It is a very nice book at a very reasonable price that I recommend. I have attached a link to the museum bookstore for those of you that are interested.

I believe that the book is also on Amazon at a slightly higher price.
