I'd like to game this era in 6mm, but if there aren't enough manufacturer's out there to support it, I'll go 15mm.

The units I'll generally need are:

Heavy and light cavalry
Gallowglass (heavy 2H axe)
Kern (Arquebusiers or javelin light troops)
Bonnachts (light 2H axe)
Pikemen
Arquebusiers
Swordsmen
Archers

Can anyone point me in the direction of some good 6mm sources?

If you think I'd be better off finding what I need at 15mm, please give me some sources for that too.

Thank you!

Irregular Miniatures is the only company II've come across that has 6mm figures for what you would need. The figures are scattered through the Italian Wars range and Late Renaissance range (for the Kerns and Gallowglass).

I haven't bought anything from those ranges, so I can't comment on their quality. I have Irregular 6mm from other ranges and I like them, but the cast-on bases can be a challenge to work with if you want to base differently. Irregular has excellent customer service, despite the clunky old-school website.

It might be worth going on the Baccus forum and asking there. Although Baccus doesn't make a specific range for this period, there are some very knowledgeable people on that forum who will be able to suggest alternative figures.

Some of Micro World's renaissance line may work.

Heroics and Ros have a small renaissance range; may be some useful stuff there.
