Just off the phone with the hotel and they confirmed they are up and running as normal with no issues so HURRICON 2017 is a go! I don't know about the rest of you but after the last week can really use the break. Also my thanks to all here for both your public and private prayers and encouragement. Im sure there are a few hardy souls that would have gamed DURING the hurricane. Afterall,I recall a power outage at Cold Wars one year,and the games continued with cell phone lights. |

We will be up from South Florida no problem . Still gas lines , many with no electric and food is hit or miss however . |

Will load up my stuff Wednesday and head out early Thursday. We have a meeting with hotel staff that morning. All set for our usual Saturday morning Rapid Fire game and am psyched to see a number of new players signed up for it! Still vestiges of Irma around, like large piles of yard debris that hasnt been picked up yet and blue tarps on some roofs as well as the steady hum of chain saws clearing out the last of the fallen trees. Will be SO glad to get away from all this for even a few days of good games and good fellowship. See you all there! |
