This will be a really useful pack! They are perfect to use them to represent all kind of volunteer units, or even regulars from the middle years of the war. Great stuff!

I want them. I have no clue what I shall do with them but I want them! :-)

I wish they weren't just marching, for skirmish games, I like a variety of poses. I will probably get a few anyway.

So I have been using the Carlist Wars figures as Spanish militia for some time. Not sure why the Perry's went with these. Seems there are a few differences but to tool a new line when there is so much in Napoleonics they could have done is a bit odd.

I look forward to seeing these painted, to see the variety of leg wear.

Back in the 1960's we used to have to convert something else by Stadden and Willie in 30mm to get our Spanish. I like to scrape away the leggings on Bavaria, Austrian, and Prussian figures to make it look like ?"solapas"? or sandals, with brown cords over white hose, or bare legs, to look like incomplete uniform. I did many with a "honey brown" color for the legs, thinking that some in Spain used a natural leather wrap below the knee, and down to the ankle where dark brown cords held the solapas.

Not hard to repaint this leather look white for hose.

Seems that Spanish troops are getting increasingly popular these days..are we experiencing a renaissance in peninsular gaming??

Or is it just a peninsula in Renaissance wargaming???

Seriously though, yes indeed. Much imagination gone into design of these. This scruffy lot are quite a contrast to the full dress rig of Three Armies latest release.

But I would imagine they would complement each other really well.

yes indeed good times for Spanish gamers, I was in progress with some militia and campaign dress figures to add to my spanish too. And of course some firing line figures are screaming out to be done

Does anyone know when they will be released?
