Great Movie ..though the Banner Picture is from atop the tunnel at Elisabethville..not Jadotville…Kind of a Irish Alamo..except no Irish died,,good commander Pat Quinlan. the relief couldn't make it and they ran out of ammo. |

Does anyone have any idea the actual organisation of the rifle company? I know it had 3 platoons and a support platoon with vickers MMG and 60mm mortars and 84mm Carl Gustav rocket launchers. Does anyone know just how much ammo they had. The film shows a mixture of lee enfields and FN rifles. I understood the lee enfields were all replaced by FNs. Can't anyone confirm? I know key staff also had Carl Gustav SMGs. Thanks |
