"First clip has been released for Sam Claflin's war drama JOURNEY'S END in which he's leading his men into battle. Out next February with a stellar cast lead by Sam Claflin, Paul Bettany, Tom Sturridge, Toby Jones and Asa Butterfield, this historical drama is a big screen adaptation of RC Sherriff's JOURNEY'S END, the seminal British play about First World War. Set in a dugout in Aisne in 1918, it is the story of a group of British officers, led by the mentally disintegrating young officer Stanhope (Sam Claflin), variously awaiting their fate"

I've been involved with a performance of the play. I doubt it will make a good movie without extensive rewrite – to the point where the original plot is lost. It's essentially talking heads, which can work on stage, but only rarely in a movie.

Lovely example of the officer uniform, which will be useful for anyone who wants to paint BEF figures in the future.

Blackadder with a humourectomy?

Hopefully, more like Blackadder with real history.
