Hi Tango ! And thanks for asking ! Yes, I'm recovering from a hip replacement that the VA did on me on 01 Sep. Before that on 01 Aug and 25 Aug I got my cataracts removed and lens implants from the VA. On 04 Aug my dentist removed a bridge in my mouth the Army put in @'88. Plus repaired the teeth around it. A few months back the VA gave me hearing aids too … So I'm slowly recovering from all my "upgrades"/"modifications"/repairs. Like the "6 Million Dollar Man" marked down to a few $100,000. USD On Sale !  Many thanks again for asking … I'll be posting now & then a little more in time.  "I ain't dead yet !" …  |

Damn Legion. Why didn't the VA just do a head replacement? Would have been less procedures down to one.

Last summer (2016) my neighbor had both hips replaced. I held her husband's hand. Last Saturday (9th Sept.) they hiked four point something miles at Catoctin Mountain Park, Md. This Saturday (the 16th) they went to Disney World for the week. They're retired. You ain't that old yet. I expect you will go farther. |

Thanks Sailor ! I look forward to being able to walk without a walker or cane and even drive again. Should be soon at least for driving ! Clay, fortunately the VA has generally worked out pretty well for me. The local VA Clinic in Youngstown, OH [part of the Rust Belt], right next to where I live in Boardman, OH is pretty good. And when need be they send us up on a van/bus to the VA Hospital in Cleveland, OH. Which is really a very large facility. And Docs, Interns, etc. from Cleveland Clinic, University Hospital practice there, as well as a very good group of Docs, Nurses, staff, etc. So again, I'm very fortunate when it comes to that ! |

Yes Sir, and thank you … I was released from going to VA for PT yesterday. Still have to go to Y pools and do exercises at home as well. Only use a cane part of the time. So I am continuing to be on the mend … |
