Not a continent but I always love the fight over the Kamchatka Peninsula (I haven't played in ages) |

South America – Australia gets you bogged down in a land war in Asia. South America gives you two options to expand, break through Mexico or go to Africa. |

Pangaea! It had dinosaurs. I haven't played (or even thought about) Risk in so long, I can no longer give a serious answer. I honestly don't remember. - Ix |

Not a continent, but agree with Rogues 1; Kamchatka or Irkutsk, just because they are so fun to say! |

North America. 5 armies and only 3 ways in to defend. Best bang for the defensive buck, as it were. |

Depends on where you are in the game. Australia is relatively easy to start. But no place to go unless you fight to Africa or thru to North America and maybe S America. South America is the other decent continent to start with. |

Australia! Lets you build up an all-conquering horde while everyone else fights it out – then South America |

Haven't played this in so many years, somehow I think I use to try to hold North America |

Personally I like a combo either Australia and Africa or North and South America. Getting to be able to own two is the hard bit. |

Risk:Legacy gives you a LOT of things to "enhance" the game. May need to get a second copy |

Either Australia or North America. I have an original Risk game from the 60's. Wooded pieces. Carried it around the glove during my USAF career 68-89. Still in tact. I recall taking it to Sardinia in 69 and playing with a group of Italian Air Force guys. Great game. |

You forgot Antarctica. Nice place to visit wouldn't want to live there. |

Australia or South America; though in those late, late night games in college one of the regular players used to hole up in Japan with a 3- card combo and stack up his reinforcements until he felt ready to make a final push. We used a house rule that allowed each additional card play to add 5 to the previous number of armies-- brutal! |

South America. No point going for Australia, as my oldest son would fight to the death to get it. |
