From experience with Katrina, I know first-hand about hurricane aftermaths but does anyone have any news about our many Colonial gaming friends? Would appreciate any news….. Thanks.

Yes, thanks for the news about Sgt. Baumal!

A particularly fine fellow who lends this hobby a lot of its energy and creativity.

Hi Lori, et all,
Thank you for your concern. You unfortunately know first hand the devastation that hurricanes can inflict!!! I've received word from many of the SMG and HMGS-South crews and thus far most are safe and sound with minor damage and tons of clean up. I've put out a group email and texts for those that haven't checked in as of yet to make sure all are ok and not in need of any assistance. We certainly dodged a bullet. Our Monroe County residents were not so lucky!!!!

Thanks again, and thank you for the kind words.

I posted a note earlier this week and got zero responses, I was wondering if anyone had any significant losses. Concerned and wondering what needs there were, Houston especially, regarding coping with this. My wife just spent three weeks in Dallas with the Red Cross. A lot of us have too much stuff anyway and this would be a good way to give back and pay it forward.

@Clays Russians, agreed sir! We are more blessed than we realize. We've heard of no serious losses here in FL, though not everyone has checked in. Some are still without power. We've done what we could volunteer wise for our local communities while still cleaning up our own homes and yards.

Many of us are looking forward to going to the HMGS-South's convention Hurricon at the end of this month, mint her nature permitting!!!
Cheers,
JB
