Which one did you like best?

David Manley11 Sep 2017 2:17 a.m. PST

Neither, the whole killer clown thing does nothing for me.

Dwindling Gravitas11 Sep 2017 2:59 a.m. PST

Ditto.

Plus I thought the book was utter crap and that King is highly overrated.

Winston Smith11 Sep 2017 3:09 a.m. PST

I read the book and saw the 1990 because my ex was a King fan. Yawn.
I have no desire to see the new one.

Horses for courses. I want to see the movie, and I love the tv version.

I hear the movie is in two parts …. so much like the TV series when aired in the UK the build up is good only to find out the child killing clown is a spider …

Haven't seen either.

I prefer my killer clowns to be from outer space…

A while back, my wife and I watched two movies one Saturday evening. My wife chose "Yentl" starring Barbara Streisand, on a DVD which her sister had loaned her. I chose "Killer Klowns from Outer Space" which I'd bought at our local Half Price Books.

When we'd finished watching both movies, I asked my wife which one was better. She wouldn't answer me!

Killer Klowns is terrible, in a good way.

As for IT. No plans on seeing the remake and the 10 minutes or so I saw of the TV version was cringe worthy.

Old Wolfman11 Sep 2017 7:08 a.m. PST

Not a fan of either version.

Clowns aren't scary, especially fat ones. Skinny ones – like the Joker are worse, but they'd be unlikely to lure a kid to a sewer grate:

John Wayne Gacy was scary…

Neither, thank you.
I read one book of King's.
That was enough.

Old Wolfman14 Sep 2017 7:13 a.m. PST

I'm already thinking how Mad Magazine would satirize the story.

Anything you can kill with a shotgun isn't scary. And clowns die easy with a shotgun.
