Final part of Gordon C. Rhea' s Overland Campaign study was delivered today. No prizes for guessing what I'm reading for the rest of the weekend!

This being the closing book to the previous four volumes -The Battle of the Wilderness, The Battles for Spotsylvania Court House and the Road to Yellow Tavern, To the North Anna River, and Cold Harbor, that Rhea fans like me thought they might never see. Given the original print of "Cold Harbor" was in 2002 and the Wilderness book was 1994!

I could say Rhea was the George R.R. Martin of Civil War authors but as he has now actually published the final book, I guess that's not true!

All that's left now is to wonder to if he will push on to Appomattox or if this really is the end of his labours.

Anyhow, I've got a book to read!

Just got my copy today. And its gone to the top of the 'to read' pile (just as soon as I finish off the last 50 pages of my current read about Jutland). Can't wait to wade into it!

Did you order it through Amazon?

Can't wait to get a copy. I've read all of his other books and he is a fantasy writer .

Wil Greene seems to have picked up where Rhea left off (with several days of overlap) with Volume 1 of his three volume work on Petersburg, A Campaign of Giants.
