We had another Mahdist War game last night; this time actively using the paddle wheeler for the first time.

There are no rules specifically for boats in TMWWBK rule set so I improvised some.

Simply, the boat moved at regular infantry speed going up river (6") & regular cavalry speed (8") going down river. One "wheel" per movement.

I don't want to complicate things too much but is this OK? What more do I need to add? I was thinking of adding something about striking a rock. Docking speed? Anything else?

I had enough sense to stipulate that the RN had forgotten to load shells, so the QF gun in the bows had only 3 shells. This still remained devasting & they destroyed 2 Mahdist units. I *really* need a Mahdist boat to keep the RN boat in check.
