I'm starting a new D&D campaign set in Chult and looking for figs, but its hard to find apropos miniatures. Reaper has very few obviously African miniatures. There are Perry Madhists I'm eyeing. I can get historical zulus and such but I'm actually looking for a less tribal/unarmored look, but still culturally west or north african. Who makes good seperate African heads?

Any ideas?

Wargames foundry figure for Congo. Northstar carries sets of figures.

Here are some interesting figures, very tribal but I like the masks.

Check out the various Bronze Age Libyan and Nubian lines out there. The ones from Foundry are nice.

Otherwise, check out the Tekumel miniatures. There might be some the could work:

Old Glory has some great figures! I was thinking about using them for Punt or Darfar in Hyboria. link

RAFM has African fantasy miniatures in their line up. If you can find them, their are some African themed tribal orcs in the Crucible line, I think Ral Partha Europe might still have them.

Wargames Foundry has a huge Darkest Africa range. North Star now carries Mark Copplestones range. You might look at his Somalis.

Thanks for the advices. Armored nubians are more the aesthetic I'm looking for. My problem is for RPG purposes I like figs to have more individual character than a lot of rank-and-file minis i find in the historical ranges. Though the Copplestone Somalis are very good.

I see that the Ghost Archipelago nickstarter has begun. This figure from that line is the level of detail/character I'm looking for. Wish there were more like this
