Why bother reading the title of the post? |

Probably either Starfleet Battles or Federation Commander. OK, you can say they're not really miniatures games, but the still have a very large "installed base." Full Thrust still has lots of players scattered around out there. Frankly, it doesn't matter. Everything is so far behind X-Wing (and then Armada) that the differences in market share are not statistically significant! |

When GW gets around to re-launching BFG, you can ask again. |

Star Fleet Battles is a dead game. My hometown club has run the largest, and eventually the only, SFB tournaments for years now and it gets smaller and smaller every year. No new product in forever and dwindling interest in a 50 year old show combined with an extremely complicated game that makes no effort recruit newer players lead to a game that won't admit it's dead. Outside of FFG I only see Full Thrust being played, but that's rare in my experience. |

ACTA – Star Fleet is my primary one. I never got around to playing Halo Fleet Command, but that was on my to-play list. Now, sadly, no more :( |

I only see Full Thrust being played, but that's rare in my experience. So true; I don't play often myself, but when I have it out at the store, it's always the strongest, but by no means the only game, to get 'Oh, yeah, we used to play the hell out of it. Have to do it again…' and they never do. Now that I'm retired, I'll just put it on the table more often. Partners won't appreciate that; no money to be made. ;->= Doug Edit: AND will try several others left too long unsampled… |

Doug, maybe run games featuring miniatures/genres the store stocks? Might help a little. |

That would be a good idea, Bill. Years ago at a Club Open Day, the Battletech game next to our FASA Trek game never showed up, and we put a few of our extra FASA minis on it. It became a talking and focal point and got the Club a few new members! So if Doug had a game and put out a few GZG or Brigade minis, which ARE still in production, and maybe a flyer or two for info? Full Thrust can still therefore be a sales draw. Even if it's other manufacturers minis, that idea could still work. As for non FFG games, if I were still playing regularly, I would go back to my two favourites, FASA STSTCS Trek and Full Thrust, old games but classics. |

Billclo, not to worry, I'm hardly the only one with a 'lost love' being played. ;->= Actually, when we had stacks of old Star Trek Tactics and Attack Wing not moving, that would have been a prime opportunity. Did cross my mind, mind you. Too bad the run up TO retirement was so busy. Doug |
