As many of you who attend Fall In!, or read TMP are aware, each year the folks of the Wednesday Night Painting Group hold a weekend long charity event to raise money for Toys for Tots.
This year marks the 13th year that we have been raising money for the charity. To that end, we have painters in the US and Cananda painting items for the auction and we have already received some donations for the two raffles. (Some of the raffle items, link )
Although each year things get easier as word spreads and more people are aware of the event, this year things are a little behind. We still need painted figures/terrain etc for the auction. (Last year we had over 50 auction items). And we also need new/unused gaming items for the raffle. (We hold a raffle both nights and we usually try to have 30+ items per raffle)
So I am reaching out to you gamers and ask you to look around your gaming area, basement, closet etc.. and if you have that box of figures or blisters that you'll never get to paining, or that painted unit of figures or terrain that you know will never be used, please think of us and this event to raise money for Toys for Tots.
I also ask those dealers/vendors/game creators/manufacturers who might have some extra stock laying around, you know, in the corner over there, or under that table in the back. Please think about donating it to our raffle.
Even thou it might not seem like much to you, it's your donations that have helped us raise over $50 USDk for Toys for Tots over the past 12 years.
