I can already imagine a pack of alien dogs running down a lone renegade, with shaved head and strange glimmering eyes. Dan

Great result – so good to see the end product. The pale blue pools look the part. Dan, that pack of dogs would skirt around these pools avoiding the sinister fizz and the acrid smell of pure acid!

Doug Now all you need is a bunch of desert dwellers. I just noticed these Micropanzer "Nomads": link They should blend well with the Sahadeen from Rebel Minis: rebelminis.com/sawarma.html link Dan

Yeah, I can see using some of those figures, I need to have allies for my Stargate team and having friendlies on a desert plant might make for a game changer for Predator foes. |

Doug How's the terrain project coming along? Dan |
War Monkey | 10 Jun 2018 7:57 p.m. PST |
I've been down and out due to health reasons, will be having a biopsy on a tumor on Wednesday and will roll with it from there, so far all the tumors they have removed have been non cancerous, this new one is blocking the main artery to my liver. Which is believed to have cause Cirrhosis of the liver never mind all my years of hard drinking been sober for twenty years now! |

Oh God, Doug. Please hang in there, and shoot me an email later to let me know how you're doing. Dan |

Will do my friend will do! |
War Monkey | 12 Jun 2018 1:42 p.m. PST |
I have plans to make more of these terrain pieces, more in desert tones and others in rocky grey colors with vegetation for more mountainous terrain. |
War Monkey | 15 Jun 2018 11:20 a.m. PST |
Good News! No tumor! Seems it scar tissue causing the blockage, liver is still working and getting blood, I just have to contend with living with Cirrhosis. Low salt and sugar diet, lose some weight and mild exercise. So at current NO surgery, so I will not be laid up for anytime soon |

Huzzah! So, some ice cream to celebrate, as adult beverages are counter-indicated? I will be happy to comment on any/all terrain threads you post for motivation, this batch of stuff looks really good! |

Wonderful News Indeed WM,🖖 And what may I ask have you got planned? (Which reminds me , must post mine) Z |
War Monkey | 17 Jun 2018 6:36 p.m. PST |
I'm thinking something that would look like two rocky formations on two sides of a fissure or canyon with a removable natural stone bridge, and a rope bridge and may even a fallen tree bridge but that one my wait until I do the gray mountain set. |
zrunelord | 17 Jun 2018 11:30 p.m. PST |
Sounds good. The one that requires the most planning & work will be the removable natural stone bridge as it will need to mate perfectly on both sides to look good. A template would be helpful. EPS or paper mache boulders could be used to hide the seams. Will you do one arch or more. This should help for ref. Look at the sheer walls & how nature does things. link link Z |

Thanks those rather interesting, I haven't thought about the number of bridges, might be interesting to have more then one, I initially thought having a removable bridge would allow me to utilize it in different ways. The stone bridge for some adventures and the rope bridge for other adventures, I know it will be a fairly large piece one of the biggest so far. |

Okay so I have been working on a concept, actually a few different concepts, first the one I have mentioned earlier, but I have some other thoughts as well. One is my version of a skull mountain with a waterfall. The other is something like a box canyon with something like caves, for cave dwellers and room on the bottom of the canyon for huts as well and an area at the closed on of the canyon for a chieftain and witch doctor, which I will have to buy more figures for, awe to bad I have to buy more figures |
