This year JJ's Wargames temporarily located to Liempde in the Netherlands for a summer holiday which included a visit to the great WWII collection at Overloon and a very personal tour of the road from Joe's Bridge to Eindhoven.

Thanks for posting that, I really enjoyed it and the rest of the blog also.

Interesting, thanks; I'm planning a trip to the area and the museum to make a change from Normandy and I too like to get the odd 'Then and now' -type picture. The excellent 'Kampfgroup Walter And Pz Brigade 107' looks like good background. Any suggestions as to a tour guide in the area, though when I went to Arnhem I found it easy enough to get around with public transport.

Great article about Overloon, makes me want to go there. One small correction if I may, the 'PaK 40' next to the Otter is surely a PaK 38?

Thanks.

Thanks for your comments chaps

Rob – I don't use tour guides much so can't really advise on the best options. If you are thinking of Holland then it is very easy to get around and we spent most of our time using bikes provided by the people we stayed with. A great way to see the country and meet to the locals.

Deephorse – You are quite right and I will amend the picture caption. Put it down to typing fatigue and poor proof reading. I'll have a word with the editor – oh that's me then !

Cheers
JJ
