Will be in Austin next week. Now that Great Hall is closed, what other game stores are there? Mostly interested in historical minis and board games but anything will do.

Dragon's Lair

Dragon's Lair is great. Not a whole lot of historical stuff, but they do have some Bolt Action and Test of Honour. Loads of fantasy, GW, Reaper, RPGs, and boardgames.

Emerald Tavern has a good selection of board games and some GW and Reaper. And good beer, coffee, and paninis.

Vigilante Bar is a boardgame bar, I haven't been there though.

Down south Mages Sanctum has good playing space and a decent stock of boardgames, but their Miniatures stock is limited.

If you are looking to get in a game, we have a group of historical players that meets at Dragon's Lair on Wednesdays after work.

The bigger Austin grows, the fewer the historical gaming options seem to become. Sigh. (Misses Great Hall.)

I was all excited about going to Great Hall. Bummer.

Believe it or not King's Hobby is still there in it's original location. Were you looking for a place to game or just supplies?

I just want to check things out. See if there is anything I didn't know I needed. A game would be nice but I am there on a business trip so I am going to be busy during the day and some nights. Hoping for a few hours of free time. Probably won't have time for a game.
