Could someone tell me how the Spanish cav in the 28MM Napoleonic range match up in size to Front Rank. Thanks all.

If you mean Capitan Miniatures, I would not buy them. I have some of the orignal Capitan Spansih and Portugeese figures (when they were produced in Spain) and they are outstanding sculpts and they matched up with FR.

However, about two years ago I placed a small order from the new owners of Capitan (UK) for some Spanish and Royal Navy sailors and was very diassapointed when they arrived. These castings bore little resemblance to the orignals. They were thinner and smaller and some were cast badly ie withered arms, excessive flashing etc.

Needless to say I complained and was told that my case was being adressed. However, even after several follow up emails from me, I never did get a reply or even an apology.

Again, my order was placed two years ago, so things may have improved. Perhaps others can offer their experience.

Sorry, I can't comment about Capitan's 28mm range. However, I did have a very similar experience as IronDuke with the 18mm Napoleonic range from Capitan (Battlemodels). Very disappointed in my purchase from Capitan in UK and will not buy from them again.

I have stock at ScaleCreep.com of the original casts from Spain, not the new UK outfit, if you're looking for them.

Our esteemed Editor, Bill, locked Capitan's account recently because it was using a sock puppet account to denigrate other wargame companies. Very bad form on the part of Capitan. I won't do business with them or anyone else who behaves in such a manner. I'm not trying to be holier than thou but it rankles me that in our small-ish hobby world someone would stoop so low. YMMV.
