Well August has come and gone in a flash, busy with work so not much progress made on the lead mountain at all.

Bought -
28mm – 9 (WWII bits and pieces as Warlord selling them cheap)

Painted
6mm – 30 (Colonials)
28mm – 16 (arabs and some WWII)

Monthly profit = +37 (yeah back in the postive)
Yearly profit = +130

So my plan of finishing my Egyptians and only buying the next colonials for my project did not happen. So Septemebers plan is as follows

1) Paint the Egyptian infantry
2) Paint the last of my Arab Cavalry (9 x 28mm figs)
3) Buy nothing!!!!

Finally started getting my painting mojo back, even with GenCon this month.

Painted:
17 – 25mm Ral Partha and Heritage fantasy figures, elves.

Bought:
2 – 25mm Ral Partha AD&D trolls

Completed:
2 – scatter terrain pieces (started 2 more, plus Skyrim diorama piece)

Monthly gain: +15
Year to date: +70

September's goal:
- Finish my land elves units
- Finish my troll titanic unit
- Start on my Amazon warrior unit
- Work on the terrain pieces

Plugging away at the figures. I used a two step technique this month which I think help speed up painting at little negative affect to quality. Black prime, white drybrush, shade color, base/highlight drybrush. Some parts only got a base coat. They seem ok but I may ask for thoughts from my friends.

So having not bought anything 2 months in a row the YTD climbs to +60

Didn't finish anything this month due to GenCon and getting kids back to school. I was in so many games this year I had little time for shopping. A mere 5 figures returned with me – I bought more dice than figures!

My Pulp Figures order, which I thought would arrive in July, actually came in August, so I've added 42 figures to my lead pile. I did get two figures painted. So, I'm down 40 figures this month.

It's been one of those months: the first week out of town helping my son move, a day trip to Wyoming to see the eclipse that stretched until almost sunrise, since the eclipse had doubled the state's population, and we were all intent on leaving right after totality, and finally a three day trip to see parents and classmates. Hopefully, I'll be staying home in September, and get a significant amount of painting accomplished.
