Looking at the TY lists, I have a question.

For 83 points, you can get a East German BN Cdr, and 5 x T-55 companies with 10 tanks apiece. For a total of 51 tanks. If losses are distributed evenly, you could get an 80% casualty rate (40 tanks), without having to make a single morale rule.

Where were these 2 yr conscripts, bravely using third rate equipment, when the Reich needed them in WWII?

That's Ver4.0 FOW morale too. The rules changes and "patches" released today make for interesting reading on the FOW (BF) forums for those interested. Almost seems a rewrite of the rewrite of the rules in some areas. The posted errata(s) seems to equal the volume of the original rules, which says something about the concept of streamlining the Ver3.0 MRB thought for Ver4.0. Add in the new point changes, new ability changes, revised or added point deductions for the discarded teams, and new modified to hit situations makes a case for confusion, especially for any event TO needing pencil and paper for calculations. Soviet players stage a new revolution soon? When is a large blob vs. other nationality large blobs which are not not blobs targets because they are not Soviet but Romanian or Italian. I wonder if the just released card packs need to now be modified with new values?

So glad I remained firmly in the Ver3.0 camp for now till the Ver4.0 is ironed out… or Ver5.0 is printed.

IIRC if you take 5 companies you actually have 2 BN commanders.

Rules are if you have two "runners" (non-bailed/destroyed) vehicles you are in good spirits. I think it is more of a "sucks to be you" than morale. given that NATO can kill 50% in a round it might be the only way to keep these in the game.
