Seven months ago I started a very simple Napoleonic Skirmish project which very quickly morphed into something much much larger.

Its been a lot of hard work, and a lot of fun to finally crank out two peninsular armies (over 1000 minis) – plenty of pictures on the blog

Very impressive work rate and the finished armies look great.
Of course, you do realise that this is not actually "finished"? I am still adding to my Russian army of Boridino after " finishing" it 20 years ago!

If you are a real wargamer you will now be pondeirng two things

1) What to paint to complement them for a bigger battle
2) Should I rebase them??

Trajanus31 Aug 2017 2:11 a.m. PST

That's quite a "skirmish project" !

Charming. To think that you are actually 'finished'.

Bandolier31 Aug 2017 3:53 a.m. PST

Cracking! :-)

Amazing! 1000 miniatures would take me seven years to paint, not seven months! Well done!

Splendid, you are a machine not a shed ;~)

"Finished"……OMG you make me laugh…….

Guthroth31 Aug 2017 5:31 a.m. PST

What is this "finished" of which you speak ?

EricThe Shed31 Aug 2017 5:35 a.m. PST

Point of order on my definition of Finished

…I have painted ALL of my 28mm Napoleonic Figures, there are none left to paint. I have painted what I have set out toi complete. There are no plans to paint any more in the next few days, weeks or months…BUT that does not mean I will not revisit this period in future painting sprees

Great job, they look fantastic.

And don't you listen to these guys… you absolutely can finish a wargames collection:)

dwight shrute31 Aug 2017 6:34 a.m. PST

you just need a bigger shed now … :-)

Martyn K31 Aug 2017 8:09 a.m. PST

They look great. What an amazing production rate, it takes me about two months to do a 36 figure battalion.

legatushedlius31 Aug 2017 9:26 a.m. PST

Depressed. Hopefully, at least, I might get a chance to play with them!

EricThe Shed31 Aug 2017 9:53 a.m. PST

Of course you will Legatus….cheer up

Congratulations. I have hopes myself. Some day…

Royal Marine31 Aug 2017 1:25 p.m. PST

I finished mine. Then I found some more that I hadn't finished. Then I started again in a different scale. Then it was time to re-base them all. I can't ever die because I have unfinished business.

Skirmish?? I think not! WEll done and congratulations on all the work finished!
