Best was just 25 when a Lucasfilm casting director picked him out of a San Francisco "Stomp" production to play Jar Jar Binks in "Star Wars: Episode I—The Phantom Menace." I do feel kind of sorry for the guy. Being blamed for Jar Jar is like hating deNiro because he always plays mobsters and killers.

I certainly think he fulfilled Lucas's vision of Jar Jar, flawed as it may have been.

I think he did an excellent job on a very good character regardless of what have said about Jar Jar I know that if I met him I would shake his hand and thank him for his work.
