"The British Army has painted some of its Challenger 2 tanks in a new camouflage scheme that planners hope will help the 62-ton machines hide on city streets. But the government has withheld other, more important enhancements.

The tanks' blocky, white, gray and brown scheme is actually a throwback to the Cold War, when British tankers prepared to defend West Berlin from the Soviets.

Looks like someone missed part of the memo about Berlin Brigade camo: Every vehicle was painted EXACTLY the same, as a way to prevent photo-ID and counting how many vehicles there were.

And I thought they used left over paint.

Are there photos of what Modern urban cameo looks like in the distance, among buildings and streets, like a "Where's Waldo" of sorts?

Thanks,

Dan

I was looking for one yesterday CC – there was one i saw a few years ago that was remarkable. The tank was about a block away and blended right in – you had to look really closely to pick it out.

Good picture, but still too easy to spot. Probably because that one has the tank front and center, and so close.
