Hello everyone at The miniatures page!

We are so glad to come back with a new project, the Elven Lords, our High elves army.

Now that our first Kickstarter, TMP link Reichguard knights, is finished is time to take a new challenge.

The Elven Lords are a two multipose infantry regiment and two monopose foot chareacters.

We are still workin in 3d sculpting and master molds work. But we can start to show here our firts models.

This is a concep our our havey armoured elf, the beggining of everything.

Our spearmen have more than nine pieces.

An Spearman 3D model.

You can read more information even see our 360º video in our blog at: lastsword.com/en/high-efl-spearmen-introduction

We would like to launch our project as soon as possible, but still have much work to do it!

We will keep posting here the news!

What do you think about out project?

These look great! two questions:

1) Are they going to be metal, resin, or injection molded plastic?

2) Are they going to scale compatible with the later plastic GW High Elves from Isle of Blood (Lothern Sea Guard, Swordmasters of Hoeth)?

Huscarle29 Aug 2017 10:17 a.m. PST

They look fine apart from those awful shoulder pads. IMHO they would look better if they were more like plate armour shoulders.
Good luck with the KS.

ComisarioSam29 Aug 2017 3:16 p.m. PST

Thanks guys for your comments.

Hydra, about your questions. This project will be like Reichguard kickstarter. We gonna use plastic resin for the infantry and metal for foot charaters.

This is our spear:

This is our referent:

We expect that scale will be compatible with others elfs branchs. The main problem is, into a range, like GW range, figures have different scale. Anyway we gonna publish scale test pictures soon.

Huscarle, we have been looking something different for the shoulder pads. It is a shame if we couldn´t desing something that you like, sorry.

Anyway, we use the shoulder pads to cover all joints, so you can do a lots of poses with the figures with out green stuff.

Thanks again guys.

We have been working in Bowmen, as a second regiment.

This is a T 3D model, with out a pose.

What do you think about it?

David Johansen02 Sep 2017 10:34 p.m. PST

Nice, but plastic resin sucks.

ComisarioSam13 Sep 2017 9:37 a.m. PST

Hi David.

Why don't you like plastic resin? Wich plastic resin figures have you got?

I am just wondering, because I would like know all points of view ;)

Thank you for your comment!

As to your reference there is now a considerable school of thought the Hoplites did not use an over hand grip. Its impractical and period representations of over hand grips are probably of javlin armed troops. But maybe Elves figured out how to do it…

Thomas, we loke historial models, but right know we are sculping fantasy, so wedon't really need be too stric. By the way nobody is really sure the way that they use their weapons, over the shield, under the shield, both…

Anyway thank you for your comment ;)

Last weekend we were at Freak Wars 2017 show in Spain. Some people saw our casted models:

Tx guys!

David Johansen18 Dec 2017 8:12 a.m. PST

huh, forgot I'd posted on this one.

So, I've worked with Mantic and Prodos's plastic resin and while the Prodos stuff is the nicest resin I've ever worked with, it's still resin. It takes glue and paint poorly. The paint often has to be thick enough to obscure details if you want it to stick to the model. There are also the mould lines and bubbles to deal with.

I spent some time last week explaining to a customer who was looking for metal figures to use with Hero Quest that plastic is now the gold standard of the industry. He was incredulous but that's how it is.

ComisarioSam18 Dec 2017 9:50 a.m. PST

Hello David! Yahk you for your comment.

Our plastic is not like other resins that we have seen before. You won't have any problem to glue our product, even you can pain it with out a base coat.

We have sent some samples. In this topic, you can read about Arraed experience

the-ninth-age.com/index.php?thread/28870-elven-lords-kickstarter-on-lastsword-miniatures/&postID=836867#post836867

Our plastic resin is flexible enough to prevent miniatures from being damaged by bending. Even the paint.

If you are still not sure, I can send to you a sample and get them your honestly opinion ;)

By the way The Kickstarter campaign is over. Now is time for the Pledge Manager.

If anybody has missed the campaign can wtrite to us at: hello@lastsword.com

ComisarioSam06 Feb 2018 11:44 a.m. PST

Hi guys,

Firstly I would like to say sorry. It been a long time out from here but we are living bad times. Ulrich is in hospital for a surgery and a relative has passed away so… we can not be 100% focus on that.

As we said on Kickstarter, orders will be delayed, anyway we hope be able to send all parcels in March.

We have some deadleines to announce:
[li]The 9th of February Kickstarter and Late Pledge orders to be taken at Hispania Wargames 2018 show, must be done please.[/li]
[li]The 24th and 25th of February Lastsword will be at Hispania Wargames 2018 show with a stand. You will get all our products and a few ammount of Elven Lords going to be offer there.[/li]
[li]The 6th or March we gonna close Kickstarter and Late Pledge, so it won't be able to place new orders. Then we will be doing and sending parcels.[/li]
Little by little we gonna take back the blog and publish new articles.

Thank you guys. Whatever that you can need, just drop a message at: hello@lastsword.com

Take care!
