How does Astounding Tales play as compared to Pulp Alley?

Jozis Tin Man27 Aug 2017 3:58 p.m. PST

Not sure, I have owned Pulp Alley fr several years, but never taken it for a test drive. I think they are pretty similar, but Astounding Tales is more dependent of having a good Director / Game Master, and works really well for running games where the players may be unfamiliar with the rules or in large settings, as you can run it almost RPG-like. "Tell me what you want to do now…"

I suggest you grab a copy from Wargames Vault, even if you don't play it it is chock full of great ideas. They also have scenario packs you may find useful.

Wow, look at that plane. Must take 50 mechanics to shine it up…

Or one Doc Savage! What do you think his horde of Mayan gold goes to? Getting his planes detailed, of course.
