How does Astounding Tales play as compared to Pulp Alley? |

Not sure, I have owned Pulp Alley fr several years, but never taken it for a test drive. I think they are pretty similar, but Astounding Tales is more dependent of having a good Director / Game Master, and works really well for running games where the players may be unfamiliar with the rules or in large settings, as you can run it almost RPG-like. "Tell me what you want to do now…" I suggest you grab a copy from Wargames Vault, even if you don't play it it is chock full of great ideas.
