OK, point taken. But cutting them to shape must have been difficult, surely? Due to the curvature? I think you've done a great job on it overall, 'despite' what you say on your blog :-)

I tend to do checks by dividing down. Put a line down the middle then the two halves to make quarters and so on. But my results aren't as nice as Matt's though I've never done such a large flat area either.

Thanks doug, Yeah the cuts were a little frustrating due to my tools not being sharp as they should have been but overall was surprisingly easy.
Ive done large flat surfaces on scale planes that gave me more hassle. The decals themselves were very durable so took a fair bit of bashing without damage too.
The trick i found after laying the first down was to not use the microsol until after i had cut it or else the decal was just too stretching when cutting.
