Time for my first AAR in literally years. Iīm involved in the BF Red Thunder campaign for Team Yankee. So I dragged my younger son, Jeremy, out for a quick game today. The old man, me, managed to pull off a win for the first time in ages. The kidīs dice went south on him in a big way. But I also pulled off some old age and cunning too. Enjoy!

Sounds like a good time!

Wow, close fight!

Hopefully, if Jeremy stays in ROTC, he will turn into a skilled commander.

Good job. This was my AO in West Germany and is really overlooked in Cold War wargaming. Even though we had a mechanized (Corps IV Corps, 1st Armored, 3rd Inf, 1st Inf and 12th Panzer, plus the Canadian Brigade) assigned to defend it. It's hypothisized that IV Corps would have lead the counter attack into East Germany. We'll never know!

I never got over there. Saddam had different plans for my military career… sigh…

We did hold the Hof Gap and launched a spirited, if defeated, counter strike into E. Germany. It was a lot of fun.

Hundreds of battle reports there. It was a blast and I'm looking forward to the next round. Next year they say.

Tgunner, I was probably about a decade ahead you. Great AARs.

Thanks. The next campaign should be starting up in the coming weeks/months so there's more to come.
