I have come up with a whole new plan! Scratch the 15mm Aztec Warriors, for the most part for now. My new plan is….. To use GZG'S Kra'vak! With QRF'S Skull Hunters in their Sci-fi range, plus he whom we will not mention Huntarr Aliens and Vacationing Aliens range and use them in a cast society system. Sort of like SG -1 meets Predator like the title says. I have again most of the figures for this I only need to get a few of them then, rather then buying a lot more figures, I can still do all the terrain builds keeping in the Aztec and Mayan Design, plus doing this project I can use more of the figures that I currently have. The main idea in the beginning was to come up with a plan and a project that would allow me to use more of the figures that I currently have and i figured a Stargate project would do that, I have a lot of alien figures that I can rotate in and out of the game and knock some of the dust off of others. I have the D20 RPG Rules for SG -1, though I think the Pulp Alley Rules would work better for this considering it is a Pulp Fiction/TV series, the SG -1 Rules I have would help with some of the gaps that may come along. It works well as technology goes, the Predators seem very much more advance compared to humans in this area. So ships and weapons would work really well, and a chance to find more! Plus I have a lot of vehicles and ships that will fit the bill. Thank you all for your input and ideas, I want to keep this thread alive and Post more ideas and thoughts and progress. Doug |

Wow! Talk about being hit with the TMP Bug, I didn't even crosspost this title to the 40K Board, and all of my deletes were just repeats of what I posted. Anyhow on with the Show!! |

I really like that new idea now! The Yautja did have buildings that looked like pyramids back on their hot steamy homeworld. YouTube link Dan

Glad to hear from you Dan, was wondering how you were doing with the storm and all. Yes I like this idea of this project as well, and have started sketching some rough layouts and noting ideas. I'm looking around for small jewelry findings that have Aztec and Mayan designs to add to the buildings. |

There seems to be many reference or scenes pointing to Aztec or Mayan structures or stone carvings. |

You should make the Pirates of the Caribbean Aztec medallion a centerpiece on one of your buildings then. :) The Amazonian gold idol from Raiders of the Lost Ark occasionally shows up really cheap too. Dan auction |

If I remember correctly the SG1 series did meet several races that were as dangerous if not more dangerous than the Predators. |

Dan, Good ideas I'll have to check those out what I really need to do is go to a bead and jewelry shop where they have all the fix in's for making your own jewelry. Rudy, Yes, Yes they did and in this game, I could use other forces (figures) against them (Predators) or against each other which keeps all parties involved in check no one race can over take the other in this system (which will allow me to run different games other then humans against whom ever), until we (SG-1) comes along a disturbs this balance. Now it's pardon the pun "Game On" |

Not entirely clear on the set up, but predators look akin to unas, if you remove the weapons. |

Well, H Man, working on the idea of a Stargate game with an Aztec or Mayan background in a different star system, with a different enemy and a gateway to use our other miniatures that are just collecting dust, in the 15mm scale range. |

Okay so with some Homework, of history and art, it appears that other then pyramids, temples and elevated platforms, the Aztecs and Mayan have made great uses of great canals for travel and farming, which could make for an interesting terrain board. |

Question is, does the team Stargate in to a very highly technical advanced abandoned pyramid or an old stone vine covered one, to find said high tech pyramid/temple later? |
The H Man | 27 Aug 2017 3:23 p.m. PST |
Maybe an ancient alien shiny temple ship. Built into the center of an ancient now collapsing gigantic stone temple city. |

That's a great idea! I can picture something in line with that. Thanks |

If you google Ron Cobb alien pyramid, I think you might see some really cool stuff he sketched for the derelict scene in the script. Dan |

I Google "Mayan pyramid concept art" and there is a lot to look at, I'm thinking may a "downed flying pyramid" that whom ever controlled thought it might be a waste of time to recover it and the Stargate that it had on board, could be that others flying pyramids may have Stargate on them as well or maybe they left it as a secret planning to come back for it but never did. Okay so taking the whole "Stargate" Universe into account this is how I plan to tie it all together. The Ancients, launched a ship ( a seed ship and a follow ship) to seed Stargates across different Galaxies (Stargate Universe) to escape the "Wraith" and the "Replicators" (Stargate Atlantis). Landing a Stargate on Earth and moving on to other planets in this Galaxy system planting Stargates(SG-1), From Earth the Ancient launch another seed ship and a follow up ship to seed another Galaxy to escape the Goa'uld, in the Constellation system "Pleiades" The "Seed Ship" continues to move along planting Stargates, the "Follow Ship" has a mishap and crash lands on a very hot steamy jungle planet. the section of the ship to which contains the Stargate is lost somewhat to the jungle, the rest of the ship is found by a not so primitive alien species "Predators". Now move forward some 10,000 years and the "Predators" have moved on from their home world now just to small for their needs, other then a small out of the way forgotten "Hunting Preserve" to which they transported humans from Central America, for very young "Predators" to hunt from time to time. Now is just a small forgotten world. Over time those Humans that survived the hunts and escape formed into small groups and have made this place their home. Having found the "Lost" Stargate and have moved it and the DHD to a central place of worship. in the abandon city of the former occupants the "Predators" There are two Clans of Predators each with a similar cast system, Low, Middle and the higher cast, the Higher cast are the ones that are allowed to use ships to hunt on other worlds, the middle cast hunt on preserves and the lower cast hunt in arena like settings, many are born into their cast but there are opportunities to move up in the cast system by being a better hunter. Over the time the "Predators" used humans as two things slave labor to build their massive cities and for hunting by selecting promising humans, training them with skills and releasing them into the arenas for the hunt for the lower cast. A very select few humans are pick for the "Hunting Preserve World". So there is the Start any input is welcomed Doug |
