I'll be honest. Those heavy cavalry have been very much criticised since release and this would not convince me yet.

Low resolution images, without any close ups, lacking the detail of the accompanying Perry Plastics….

Perfectly adequate for someone who wants a bunch of figures (I have absolutely no problem with that) but not sure they are of display quality, despite the painter's skills!

Deadhead, I don't do British but have viewed these figures and agree. Look at them! There must be something on the ground. They are all looking down.

You are right my friend… I have bought so many of them… (smile)

I can imagine that, en masse, they could look perfectly adequate….from a distance.

But what amazes me is the investment that went into plastic moulds, to create summat that we all seem to feel is so poorly thought out.

It is just as easy to do them right! It is like which shoulder do their lancers roll their cloaks. 50% chance you get it right…or you ask someone. They got it wrong.

Who are these people?

Create decent figures and let folk decide what level of painting they choose to do. Wargamers may well want hundreds of indifferently finished figures (not what I have seen here, most, not all, shame my work). Collectors might want to create the odd unit to sit on a shelf and spend weeks finishing them.(what I do).

I have tried plastic figures for 2-3 units and find most lacking what metal has. They are too time consuming to put together and not worth the final effort IMHO.

I would have agreed with you 100% at one stage.

But Perry Plastics have won me over. Yep, there is the assembly but that allows for superb modelling in the end. The surprise for me was how well it worked for infantry. Only recently, reluctantly, I bought their first ever plastic work, British Line Infantry to make up as 71st and then 52nd. First I have shown. second are done and will appear in a few days. As I started work I remembered I had a Victrix Highlander Flank Co set. Wings already there on the arms and (surprisingly) far better rendering of the firearms.

There is an investment in time and, for a wargamer I can well imagine might not appeal. Those Victrix Bayonets are a nightmare too.

But for conversions and someone who just likes chopping figures to make models…..far better than I had thought
