Which of his games do you recommend? |

Any of the Great Battles of History series. Dead of Winter. Glory Series. Pax Romana. |

Pax Romana is brilliant, but a four player game is going to take a few gaming sessions. His GBACW system has now morphed into some very impressive games that are put out by GMT, with more in the pipeline. |

Pax Romana is the worst he made, if just for the treatment of islands as death traps and the ease of totally destroying invaders by denying places to them for retreat. The ancient World Series are his best. I am a big fan of Manchu too. |

So, out of 5 replies, one says Pax Romana is THE BEST, one says Pax Romana is THE WORST. Just like the answer to EVERY question ever asked on the internet! I'll go with, Pax Romana is dead in the MIDDLE of every Berg game ever designed. Although I've never played it. |

Is this a list of his best games or what we would recommend? May not be the same. |

I always thought that it was ironic that TSS won the award for Best Tactical Game when it came out even though it didn't portray ACW tactics well at all. The mechanics behind the stacking rules, for instance, made no sense historically. The reasoning behind them, as explained in MOVES magazine, was even more wonky. |
