For big scale ww2 miniatures then I would personally go for 1/35. They're 54mm. There are stacks of 1/35 ww2 already.

Doug

I'm going to wander off the reservation and suggest the Great Northern War lends itself to 40mm…I've been lobbying another fine manufacturer about this for years without success.

Early morning writer27 Aug 2017 9:12 p.m. PST

My first vote is for #1. My second vote is for #1. And my third vote is for Lucky #7: the Old West – gunfighters, stage robbers, ranchers, cowpokes, civilians (male, female, youngsters), soiled doves, gamblers, etc.

Doug, You can retire on creating all these various ranges :) I am very much looking forward to what comes out of MSC over the next couple of years.

Richard Baber02 Aug 2018 3:00 a.m. PST

Why 40mm??

Why not stick to a more readily used size – 20mm, 28mm or even 54mm??

deephorse02 Aug 2018 6:00 a.m. PST

Indeed. I could be tempted to buy some if they went with something I already have. Not going to start a new collection in 40mm, sorry.

Au pas de Charge02 Aug 2018 8:52 a.m. PST

British Colonials: NW Frontier and Sudan.

@Richard Baber. The reason is that there are already plenty of ranges in 28mm. Why cant 40mm enthusiasts have something too?

Terry Naylor16 Aug 2018 3:27 p.m. PST

Just do the Highlanders in trews for ask so l can do Guildford Courthouse, Brandywine.
Complete before something else please

Lee49416 Aug 2018 4:16 p.m. PST

Good grief guys. So what scenics do you use for 40mm?? Real buildings I suppose.

Au pas de Charge16 Aug 2018 9:51 p.m. PST

I use 28mm buildings and scenics. With some exceptions 28mm works just fine with 40mm miniatures.
