I would have been interested if it had been a smaller scale like 15mm 10mm of 6mm.

A wee bit disappointed in the direction Disney has gone with this. I know that FFG has the license, and they have their niche. But I don't want a card game motivated wargame for ground forces. Also, multi-pose plastic would have been better for the troops. The poses will get boring and stale quickly, and resin is cost prohibitive for the supplier and the consumer to maximize various poses. Not too mention, who is going to want to field a 20lb resin AT-AT that probably going to cost a $100. USD Was looking forward to a Star Wars miniature games, now I am disappointed….

Should have been X-Wing minis scale (1:270).

I'd quite like to have the figures but don't want the rules, so that works out at £3.00 GBP per figure. If the figures are available separately and at a reasonable price I would buy them and use other skirmish rules. As for scale, that is fine for me, skirmish games in less than 28mm don't work for me. 15mm and below are for big battles.

Very sad they didn't keep the IA scale. I would love to buy this game and these troops to build a truly ridiculous SW collection. But now I have to say with just plain ridiculous.

Was also hoping these were prepaints.

Looks like not.

Yes, this could have been cool. At least the prepainted starwars collectible miniatures fit the Imperial Assault. And are not too bad price wise.

There will be a supplement for Combat Patrol released soon that will allow you to play fun Star Wars ground battles. We have been using the old Star Wars collectible miniatures and some Imperial Assault figures for play testing. The supplement will be FREE, but you do need to have Combat Patrol.

The link to the Combat Patrol Web page is link Also check out bucksurdu.com/blog and search for Star Wars to see some of our games.

The Imperial Assault figures already look big standing next to most of my collection, and from the comparison pics I have seen, these are noticeably bigger than their IA counterparts (35mm?), which is a real shame because these new minis look great, but I am not interested in expanding into another scale, and these will not fit in well with my existing IA minis at all.

The scale differences from IA are disappointing, but the new models will likely be much better quality than the IA plastics. Just trying to look on the bright side.
